Photos from Delhi

Had a chance to sort through some photos from our first day in Delhi. Just sorry that we can't also express the smells and noise that makes this such an amazing place. I think health and safety and the traffic police at home would have found this a bit of a problem. Then there are some of the monuments and tombstones that we visited, starting with Jama Mosque which has enough space for 20,000 people to pray at the same time. Humayun's Tomb, built in the mid 16th century, and which as well as the Cushings has been visited by the Obamas. The tombstone of Mahatma Gandhi - don't think I'll get one like this: India Gate And Quteb Minar, deliberately built as a leaning tower, so that if it fell, it would fall backwards and not onto the mosque. Its height of 73 metres is emphasised by the people at the base and the commercial aeroplane flying nearby. We did some shopping, but definitely did not buy these items or anything like them! And finally even in Delhi, I can find wildlife to photograph: Squirrel A Red-whiskered Bulbul And finally one of the hundreds of Black Kites
